a tree-rific journey into family history

My Life in the Past Lane

My genealogy journey began in childhood with a maternal grandmother who loved family history and a father who dabbled in family tree research as a hobby for a while. I began researching my roots in September 2010 and devote as much time (if not more) to my wife’s ancestry as well. My undergraduate degree is in history and political science, and I am actively involved as an officer in a local genealogical society. My related interests include cemetery preservation and local history.

Martha (Mattie) Landess Terry was my great-grandmother. I have been working on our genealogy and it is very interesting to read some of the documents that have been left behind. Feel free to contact me.
